Dive bar. Great pizza!!!! They offer several styles of crust, we got the deep dish. We will be back. Better than I thought it was going to be. Good flavor in the sauce, not too sweet. We will be back!

This neighborhood bar knocks it out of the park with their Chicago deep dish pizza. In addition to a collection of local and national beers, they are cranking out deep dish pizza like a pizzeria. At first glance the kitchen looks ill-equipped and leaves you wondering how can this place make a deep dish pizza. My advice is to let go of those notions, and wait the 30-45 minutes on a Friday night for the deep dish. It is worth the wait. I look forward to my next visit.

This review is for pizza take out. There isn't really a menu online but just call and order the deep dish pizza with your favorite toppings. It takes about 45 minutes to make. Limited parking out front and walk straight to the back right of the building for the pizza. Tiny space but they make HUGE pizza! The deep dish is easily 4-5 servings and is so heavy. The style seems like a pan pizza instead of a 'chicago deep dish.' Think a less greasy Jet's or Adriatico's pan pizza. The crust is flaky and crisp but also a soft pillow for the sweetest cheese I have ever tasted on a pizza. The sauce is on top and has quite a garlic and spice zing but I wouldn't call it spicy. This pizza seems to have a cult following, and now I get it. Definitely would order this again!

Some of the best Deep Dish pizza in the city, better than Giordannos. The location is a little bit tricky coming from campus, but is worth the cheap drink specials and tasty pizza. Highly recommend if looking for pizza in the OSU campus area. We ordered a large deep dish pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and banana peppers. It had a little kick but was delicious. They have daily drink specials which was a huge plus.

It took me a long time to get to Meister's for pizza. I admit I was turned off by the photos of burnt-looking pizza in dark, unflattering lighting. For National Pizza Day, we gave it a chance with a regular crust Hawaiian. (I may be Midwestern but I don't like deep dish.)
Now the pizza. It did look burnt, but it didn't taste burnt at all. The crust was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. The sauce was ample and a bit sweet. The toppings were chopped up small enough so you got a nice mix of toppings in each bite. There were herbs sprinkled on top which added another layer of flavor. It was just greasy enough and yet didn't leave a huge puddle of grease on the cardboard.
Overall I can't believe we waited this long to try Meister's. Maybe we will do the deep dish next time!
